Our List of the Top 3 Wedding Invitation Trends for 2016

Wedding trends come and go, but some of our top picks are here to stay...at least for the rest of 2016 and in to 2017. Here are a few of our favorite wedding trends to inspire you!

These rustic-themed wedding invitations use intricate lace detail to amp up the sophistication. Add a pop of color, and an interesting tie enclosure and you have a rustic, chic invitation!

Rustic Chic

The rustic wedding trend is here to stay, but this year it's getting a glam makeover. More frequently brides are opting for outdoor wedding venues, or rustic settings like barns or lodges for their big day. In 2016 this trend continues, but with the addition of chic details, glitz and glitter. Kraft paper is a staple in any rustic design, and works great for wedding invitations. Elevate your rustic invitation suite by adding a lace enclosure to your invitation, incorporate some shine into your envelopes with glitter envelope liners, or layer your invitation suite with vintage floral details.

These GORGEOUS wedding invitations use custom, hand made papers featuring metallic detail to layer. Both invitations add additional shine by using shimmering folders to hold the entire suite together.

Muted Metallics

One of our favorite trends for 2016 is the muted metallic trend. Pair white, cream, gray, or beige with metallic accents like gold, silver, or bronze to get an elegant, rich effect. Tie some of these beautiful metallic shades into your invitation by using shimmer or glitter folders, add layers to your invitation, or incorporate a metallic envelope or envelope liner into the mix.

These Signature Collection invitations incorporate color in a big way. Bright blue, with hint of bright yellow is perfect for a spring or summer wedding. Hot pink, water color flowers with red hot accents are perfect for your summer or fall wedding.

Pop Of Color

Make your wedding stand out with bright pops of color. Anything from teal, to hot pink, to mint green are amazing for a spring or summer wedding. Use bright color as an accent, or all over. The key with color is to stick to 1 or 2 colors, plus an accent color, to keep your look unified. Amp up the color by adding vivid layers to your invitation, wrap your suite up in a bright colored belly band, or illuminate your reception with electric place cards.
